About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Truss Designer to join our growing design team. In this role, you’ll lead the design of roof trusses and floor systems for residential and commercial modular construction projects across Ontario and Québec.

You’ll use your deep understanding of provincial building codes, regulations and your advanced skills in MITEK Sapphire and Structure to produce precise, productive, and code-compliant trusses and truss layouts. This is a senior technical role ideal for someone who thrives in a quick-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys solving complex structural challenges.

What You’ll Do

- Design and optimize truss layouts using MITEK Sapphire and Structure software.
- Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate shop drawings.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable Building Codes and regulation requirements.
- Collaborate closely with sales, production, and field teams to ensure designs are buildable, cost-effective, and structurally sound.
- Review and approve truss packages for accuracy, load calculations, and design integrity.
- Communicate effectively with builders, engineers, and inspectors to resolve technical questions.

What You Bring

- 7-10 years of experience in truss or structural design (roof and floor systems).
- Advanced proficiency with MITEK (layout, engineering,



and manufacturing integration) Sapphire and Structure.
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario and Quebec Building Codes and related standards.
- Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or equivalent.
- Excellent reading of architectural and structural plans.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset.
- C.E.T., A.Sc.T., or equivalent professional designation preferred.
- BCIN required
