Cabinet Maker & Installer

Craft & Co Cabinetry is a family-owned workshop specializing in the manufacturing and installation of high-quality custom cabinetry and furniture.

We’re looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker & Installer to join our team as an Independent Contractor, with the potential to transition into a full-time position in the future.

With approximately 70% fabrication and 30% installation, you’ll play a hands-on role in turning designs and quality materials into custom pieces our customers can be proud of. Your attention to detail and pride in your work will make a direct impact on every project we deliver.

Responsibilities

- Build, assemble, and install custom kitchens, closets, vanities, built-ins, mudrooms, and other custom furniture.
- Read and interpret plans, measurements, and shop drawings.
- Cut, prepare, sand, and assemble MDF, plywood, solid wood, and other materials.
- Install hardware, hinges, drawer slides, and other components.
- Complete in office installations, including leveling, fitting, fastening, and alignment.
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments or modifications as needed during fabrication and installation.
- Maintain high standards of quality, organization, and safety.

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in custom cabinetry and furniture manufacturing and installation.
- Experience with cutting, assembly, sanding, and surface preparation.
- Ability to read plans and work accurately with measurements.




- Ability and willingness to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Proficiency with woodworking tools and machinery.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience with finishing and painting is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required, as our workshop is located in Lakeside, Ontario, and installations take place at various locations.

Compensation

We’re offering a competitive compensation with a starting range of $23.00 per hour, based on a 40-hour week with overtime opportunities available based on project and business needs. Pay will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.,
