About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Lead Foreman to oversee pavement marking projects and field crews based out of Lower Queensbury, NB. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating crews, scheduling work, inspecting completed work, managing equipment and materials, and serving as a key point of contact for customers and provincial representatives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced pavement marking or road construction professional who can confidently lead a team in the field while maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring quality standards are met, and keeping projects organized and on schedule.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead and supervise pavement marking crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Schedule and coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and daily field activities to keep projects on track.
- Conduct site walks and inspections with customers.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and provincial representatives, acting as a key point of contact in the field.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project and provincial standards.
- Review project plans and specifications and provide direction to crews on daily work requirements.
- Oversee pavement marking equipment and ensure trucks, tools, and materials are ready for each job.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate material and supply needs to ensure timely reordering.
- Complete required job paperwork (production reports, daily logs, material records, and other project documentation).
- Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs as required.




- Monitor project progress, address issues in the field, and communicate updates or concerns to management.
- Ensure compliance with traffic control, safety, environmental, and provincial regulations, including NSTIR and NBDTI standards.
- Support crew training and maintain a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
- Travel throughout New Brunswick for multi-day assignments.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in pavement marking, road construction, traffic control, or a related field, with demonstrated crew leadership or foreman experience.
- Experience operating centreline/long-line paint trucks is strongly preferred.
- Valid Class 3 or Class 1 Commercial Driver’s Licence with air brakes and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Knowledge of traffic marking materials such as waterborne latex, thermoplastic, and MMA is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs and maintenance.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with customers, provincial representatives, and internal teams.
- Proven ability to lead, direct, and motivate a field crew while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, road maps, marking specifications, and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Willingness to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
