Chef de Partie — The Oxley

Location: Yorkville, Toronto
Employment: Full-time, permanent

The Oxley is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. Our menu draws on British cooking and classical French technique, with a focus on quality ingredients and careful execution.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a section of the kitchen, maintaining consistent standards from preparation through service. This role requires sound judgment, strong organisation, and the ability to perform well in a busy restaurant.

Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to The Oxley’s recipes and standards.
- Manage the daily setup, operation, and close of an assigned section.
- Maintain accurate prep levels, proper food storage, and a clean, organised workspace.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to deliver timely, consistent service.




- Follow food safety procedures and support the training of junior cooks.

Requirements

- A minimum of four years of professional line cooking experience.
- Proven ability to run a section independently during busy service.
- Strong culinary fundamentals, attention to detail, and time management.
- A qualified approach to teamwork, feedback, and kitchen standards.
