Lucky Bastard Distillers | Full-Time
We’re looking for a salesperson who knows their way around a bar, loves talking to people, and gets a little too excited about the idea of getting a new cocktail on a menu.
Lucky Bastard Distillers is looking for an Territory Sales & Development Representative to help grow our presence in Regina and Southern Saskatchewan, with a special focus on bars, restaurants, hotels, lounges, cocktail programs, and other hospitality accounts.
This role will work alongside our existing Southern Saskatchewan Sales Manager, with a particular focus on building the on-premise side of the business—getting our spirits and products into more glasses, cocktail menus, back bars and beverage programs across the region.
We're looking for someone who is outgoing, driven, organized and comfortable creating relationships from scratch. You don't need to be a master mixologist, but you should understand the hospitality industry and be genuinely interested in spirits, cocktails and the people who serve them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and grow relationships with bars, restaurants, hotels, lounges, pubs, cocktail bars, and liquor stores.
- Prospect for new accounts and actively seek out opportunities rather than waiting for orders to come in.
- Visit accounts regularly to build relationships with owners, managers, bartenders, chefs and beverage decision-makers.
- Introduce new Lucky Bastard Distillers products and identify opportunities for menu placements, features,
cocktail programs and promotions.
- Secure new listings and increase the number of Lucky Bastard products carried by existing accounts.
- Conduct product tastings, staff education and cocktail demonstrations where appropriate.
- Work with bartenders and beverage teams to develop cocktails and menu opportunities featuring our products.
- Follow up on leads, samples, tastings and proposals to turn opportunities into orders.
- Monitor account activity and identify opportunities to increase sales.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, opportunities, orders and follow-ups.
- Provide weekly inventory counts to our Inventory Management Team.
- Work closely with our Regina/Southern Saskatchewan retail sales representative to coordinate territory activity and avoid duplication.
- Collaborate with the marketing and brand education teams on events, promotions, launches and account activations.
- Represent Lucky Bastard Distillers at trade events, tastings, industry events and customer functions.
- Provide feedback from the market on competitors, pricing, trends, customer requests and new business opportunities.
- Help launch and grow new products throughout the territory.
- Meet established sales and account-growth targets.
- Support our Southern Sask Sales Manager to achieve territory goals.
- Attend Sales Meetings in Saskatoon.
- Maintain and organize the Regina warehouse.
- Deliver Lucky Bastard products across Southern Saskatchewan.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A natural relationship builder who genuinely enjoys meeting current people.
- Confident walking into a busy bar or restaurant and starting a conversation.
- Comfortable talking to everyone from a bartender to an owner or general manager.
- Persistent without being pushy.
- Organized and excellent at following up.
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own schedule and territory.
- Competitive in a healthy way—you like having a target and beating it.
- Interested in spirits, cocktails, food, restaurants and hospitality.
- Comfortable working independently while still being part of a larger team.
- Able to travel throughout Regina and Southern Saskatchewan.
- Comfortable winter driving.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
