Join our energetic team as a Climbing Instructor and inspire adventurers of all ages to reach new heights! A Climbing Instructor is responsible for interacting with guests and maintaining a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused climbing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Welcome guests with a friendly attitude, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive
- Assist visitors with check-in procedures, safety briefings, and answering any questions about the facility
- Support safety protocols by monitoring activity on climbing walls and ensuring all participants follow guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Support management in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and equipment checks
- Handle guest concerns or issues promptly to ensure a positive experience for everyone
- Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless and enjoyable environment that encourages repeat visits

Arena Duties

- Carry out daily & monthly safety checks on climbing equipment
- Ensure the safe running of the Clip ‘n Climb arena in accordance with risk assessments and operating procedures
- Interact and assist with customers, providing an exceptional customer experience
- Work with team members to ensure all shift operational duties are undertaken
- Support with birthday parties and other group events
- Attend ongoing staff training and development opportunities




- Confidently carry out duties at heights of up to ~9 metres
- Safety and Rescue Operations (Training will be given)
- Understand and support reception duties

Reception Area

- Assist with customer enquiries and bookings for the Clip ‘n Climb centre
- Answer emails and answerphone messages
- Take payments (in person and over the phone)
- Make bookings (in person and over the phone)
- Organise group bookings
- Book birthday parties (including sending payment reminders and collecting final payments)
- Cash up till(s)
- Administrative tasks given by General Manager or Assistant Manager
- Cleaning and general tidiness of reception/downstairs areas and restrooms

Required Qualifications:

- Confidently carry out duties at heights of up to ~9 metres
- Excellent communication skills to deliver information to large groups of people
- Excellent customer service skills
- Organised, reliable and efficient
- Calm approach when working under pressure
- Able to demonstrate initiative and work unsupervised
- Open friendly manner with an ability to interact with a diverse range of people
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Willingness to be flexible and take on other duties in the centre
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, early evenings, weekends and holidays
- Physically able to stand for long periods

Pay: From $20.75 per hour
