Your number one priority in this role is to get the cargo to its final destination. When you arrive each day, you’ll plan your loads and routes based on the day’s orders.

At each site you’ll meet with the contact, complete a hazard assessment, determine the load out strategy and work together to unload the truck. Once your truck is empty, you’ll come back to the warehouse and repeat the process as efficiently as possible.

Duties:

- Safely drive and operate tandem trucks for transporting goods and materials to various locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper securing and distribution of weight to maintain vehicle balance and safety.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition, checking for any mechanical issues and reporting them promptly.
- Accurately complete daily logs, mileage records, and delivery reports, ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE),



to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
- Conduct basic maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brake systems, to ensure the vehicle remains in good working order and minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

- Appropriate Driver’s License ex: Class 5/3 W/ Air brake endorsement
- Mechanical Aptitude an asset
- Forklift Certification an asset (not required)
- Must always act in a polite and professional manner
- Ability to Lift up to 75 lbs regularly
- PPE must always be worn
- Good interpersonal skills to communicate with customers and dispatchers.
