As Synergy Construction Ltd. continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to become an important part of our team and our future.

This is not simply a role for someone who can produce an accurate estimate.

We are looking for an experienced construction professional who understands how to evaluate opportunities, develop winning bid strategies, identify project risk, build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, and help determine which projects Synergy should pursue.

The successful candidate will work closely with ownership and our project teams and will have a genuine seat at the table as we continue to grow the business.

A Permanent Role — Not a Project-Specific Contract

This is a permanent, full-time position with Synergy Construction.

The role is not being hired for a single construction project, temporary assignment or specific contract.

Our Senior Estimator will work across an ongoing pipeline of commercial, civil and land development opportunities throughout Saskatchewan, evaluating and estimating multiple project pursuits and helping Synergy continually develop its future book of business.

The Opportunity

The Senior Construction Estimator will take a lead role in developing comprehensive estimates and project pursuit strategies while working directly with Synergy ownership, project managers and other members of the construction team.

You will be trusted to bring experience, judgment and perspective to the estimating process.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the preparation of detailed estimates for commercial, civil and land development projects.
- Reviewing project drawings, specifications, tender requirements and contractual documentation.
- Developing quantity take-offs, labour requirements, equipment requirements, material pricing and subcontractor scopes.
- Soliciting, evaluating and leveling subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identifying project risks, assumptions, exclusions and potential opportunities.
- Developing competitive bid strategies in collaboration with ownership and project leadership.
- Providing insight into project constructability, sequencing, scheduling and methodology.
- Preparing and reviewing tender submissions, budgets and conceptual estimates.
- Participating in pre-bid meetings, site visits and project pursuit discussions.




- Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and industry partners.
- Using historical costing, market information and project experience to continuously improve estimating accuracy.
- Supporting hand-off from estimating to project execution following successful awards.
- Helping improve Synergy's estimating systems, processes and best practices.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to developing estimators and other members of the team.
- Identifying future project and business development opportunities.
- Contributing to broader discussions about Synergy's project pipeline, growth strategy and future direction.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for an estimator who has developed the technical knowledge and professional judgment that comes from successfully estimating construction work over time.

The ideal candidate will bring:

- Significant construction estimating experience, ideally within commercial, civil, institutional, industrial or land development environments.
- Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan construction markets, subcontractors, suppliers and pricing.
- Demonstrated experience leading complete estimates and tender submissions.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, contracts and tendering processes.
- Experience completing detailed quantity take-offs and developing labour, material, equipment and subcontractor pricing.
- An ability to assess project risk and make informed recommendations about project pursuits.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail without losing sight of the overall project strategy.
- Robust relationship-building and communication skills.
- The confidence to work directly with ownership and provide informed recommendations.
- The ability to manage multiple estimates and competing deadlines.
- Experience mentoring or supporting less-experienced estimators would be considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and experience with construction estimating and take-off software.

Post-secondary education in construction management, civil engineering, engineering technology or a related discipline would be considered an asset,



but extensive practical construction and estimating experience will also be strongly valued.

The successful candidate can expect a package that includes:

- Base salary of $100,000–$140,000, depending on experience and capability.
- Performance-based variable compensation, which may include bonus and/or profit-sharing opportunities.
- The ability for strong performance and company success to result in a meaningful increase in total annual compensation beyond base salary.
- Company vehicle for the successful candidate.
- Relocation assistance may be available for the right individual moving to Regina or the surrounding area.
