One of our Leading clients is looking for a dependable and detail-focused Stone CNC Operator to become a part of their team.

Job Title: Senior CNC router operator

Location: North York, ON
Pay: $35.00–$50.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Type: Full-time

Duties:

- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC routers, bridge saws, waterjets, and other stone fabrication equipment.
- Review and interpret shop drawings, digital templates, CAD/CAM files, cut lists, slab layouts, and job specifications.
- Load machine programs, install appropriate diamond tools, set machine origins and offsets, and verify machine parameters.
- Safely load, position, secure, and unload granite, marble, quartzite, porcelain, sintered stone, and engineered stone.
- Operate CNC equipment to produce sink and cooktop cut-outs, faucet holes, edges, mitres, grooves, drainboards, and other specified features.
- Monitor tool wear, water flow, cutting conditions, and machine performance, making approved adjustments when required.
- Inspect finished products for accurate dimensions, profiles, surface finish, and edge quality, and report defects or quality issues.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, tool replacement, basic maintenance, documentation, and follow all required safety and silica-control procedures.

Requirements:

- Previous experience operating CNC equipment in a stone fabrication, countertop, tile,



or related manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience operating CNC routers, bridge saws, waterjets, or similar stone-processing equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings, digital templates, dimensions, cut lists, and fabrication specifications.
- Basic knowledge of CNC tooling, tool wear, feeds, speeds, offsets, and machine setup.
- Working knowledge of natural and engineered stone and safe handling practices.
- Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and ability to accurately use measuring and inspection tools.
- Ability to safely work with large, heavy, and fragile stone slabs and material-handling equipment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, silica-dust controls, wet-processing methods, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures.

Working Conditions:

- Work is performed in a stone fabrication workplace with exposure to wet processes, noise, dust, vibration, slurry, sharp edges, and varying temperatures.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling of tools throughout the shift.
- Must be comfortable working with large, heavy, and fragile stone slabs.
- Required to use appropriate PPE, including safety glasses or face protection, hearing protection, safety footwear, gloves, and respiratory protection where required.
- Strict adherence to silica-exposure controls, housekeeping procedures, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout requirements.
- Availability to work assigned shifts, overtime, or weekends based on production requirements.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
