PEJK Real Estate is looking for an experienced, self-motivated property management professional to lead our growing team, keep our existing apartments rented and well cared for, and help launch our new nine-storey residential building at Robie Street and Jubilee Road.

You will take ownership of property management and leasing across our portfolio, keeping existing apartments rented and helping launch our current 9 story building at the corner of Robie & Jubilee.

At our existing properties, you will stay actively involved in leasing, showings, maintenance, inspections and tenant relationships. At our new 78 unit building Robie and Jubilee, you will spearhead staging, advertising, leasing and move-in planning, then help establish excellent ongoing operations.

Your role

Reporting directly to the VP of Operations and Construction, you will oversee one existing Property Manager, with the property management team expected to grow. You will work closely with our two maintenance team members and personally manage a portfolio of buildings.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Keep existing apartments rented. Stay ahead of vacancies and turnovers, maintain attractive listings and updated photos, respond promptly to inquiries, conduct showings, coordinate applications, and prepare leases and renewals.
- Manage properties directly. Build strong tenant relationships, handle day-to-day issues, coordinate move-ins and move-outs, and maintain accurate property and tenant records.
- Lead and support the property management team. Set clear expectations, prioritize workloads, follow up on outstanding items,



and establish consistent standards across all properties.
- Keep every property looking its best. Visit properties regularly and take pride in their appearance from the street, through common areas, and inside apartments. Coordinate landscaping, snow clearing, seasonal upkeep, cleanliness and repairs to maintain excellent presentation throughout the year.
- Stay ahead of maintenance. Identify issues early, coordinate repairs with maintenance staff and contractors, and follow through to ensure work is completed properly and tenants are kept informed.
- Deliver excellent tenant service. Be approachable, responsive and professional. Resolve concerns thoughtfully and help create places people are happy to call home.
- Lead the new building’s launch and ongoing management. Coordinate staging, photography, advertising, showings, leasing and move-ins at Robie and Jubilee, while maintaining equally strong service and leasing activity throughout the existing portfolio.
- Handle tenancy matters professionally. Maintain clear documentation, manage difficult conversations, and prepare for and attend residential tenancy hearings when needed.
- Help the company grow. Improve systems and processes, develop the team, and bring forward practical ideas that strengthen property operations and the tenant experience.

Who we’re looking for

You have substantial residential property management experience and want a role with real responsibility, independence and room to grow.

The ideal candidate brings:

- A strong track record in apartment leasing, tenant relations, inspections and maintenance coordination.
- Experience leading or mentoring other property managers.




- Experience with residential tenancy hearings and a solid understanding of Nova Scotia’s residential tenancy requirements.
- Experience with Yardi.
- Strong organization, sound judgment and the ability to balance the needs of multiple properties.
- A proactive approach: you notice what needs attention, take action and follow through without constant direction.
- Pride in property presentation and a genuine commitment to tenant satisfaction.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation for regular property visits.

Experience staging, marketing and leasing a new residential development would also be a strong asset.
