Duties

- Perform routine and advanced maintenance and repairs on shop equipment, tools, trucks, and trailers.
- Conduct inspections using SiteDocs to ensure equipment functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain and update maintenance logs, including completed repairs and scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of tools, equipment, and materials in the shop and yard.
- Support the implementation of equipment improvements and upgrades.
- Maintain housekeeping, organization, and cleanliness in maintenance areas and the yard.
- Continuously improve maintenance efficiency and shop layout.
- Maintain and update Maintenance Orders (MOs) and Odoo system records.
- Order and track parts and shop maintenance consumables to minimize equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using schematics and analysis skills to identify root causes swiftly.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime by providing prompt technical support and customer service-oriented communication.

Experience





- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environments with a focus on shop equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience in industrial settings.
- Experience working with software for maintenance tracking and documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, welding techniques, and low voltage electrical systems preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and support safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma required.
- Certified Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic.
- Knowledge of Spence equipment and asset fleet.
- Familiarity with maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, trailers and vehicles.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to complete Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) inspections for trucks and trailers.
- 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, specifically within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the corrosion and erosion industry or industrial environment is an asset.

Pay: $42.00-$52.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
