Electrician

Shift: 12hr Continental Rotating Shift

Pay: $44.48 per hour + Shift Premium

Location: Tilbury, ON

Full Time Permanent Position

Responsibilities:

- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, automated machinery, control systems, and facility electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and automation issues involving PLCs, HMIs, sensors, VFDs, drives, relays, motor controls, conveyors, and other automated manufacturing equipment.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, identify recurring equipment issues, and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and overall production efficiency.
- Support the installation, commissioning, modification, and upgrading of new and existing production equipment and electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment documentation to effectively troubleshoot and repair systems.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, contractors, and equipment vendors to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, document repairs, and provide recommendations for equipment improvements and replacement.
- Follow all electrical, health and safety, and regulatory requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO),



while maintaining a safe working setting.

Qualifications

- Valid Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) as a 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician or 442A Industrial Electrician.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably within a manufacturing or automated production environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills with industrial electrical systems, machinery, controls, and automation equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), Lockout/Tagout procedures, preventive maintenance practices, and industrial safety standards.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, hoists/cranes, and automated production equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Working knowledge of industrial facility systems such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, and other plant utilities.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience coordinating or monitoring work performed by external contractors, service providers, and equipment vendors is an asset.
