We are exploring expanding our Granville Island location into an evening ghost kitchen once the public market is closed, if you are a passionate cook who prefers a quieter working environment and rocking an evening service with a fellow teammate then this is a outstanding opportunity.
We have a stall that operates inside the public market, the market currently closes at 6pm. We are looking for 2 cooks who would take over from the day time team, run the kitchen and pack orders for delivery drivers from 5/6pm - 10pm/11pm. This would be a part-time opportunity to begin with running from Thursday/Friday - Sunday. For the first 2 - 3 weeks, day time shifts would be required for training.
This requires cooks who are comfortable with managing themselves in service, packing & running orders, closing down, prepping and cleaning.

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Line Cooks/Prep Cooks to join our restaurant team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient preparation and cooking of menu items, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Note: We have 2 locations, this job is primarily for our Granville Island location although interviewing, training and additional shifts may be required at our main location (5052 Victoria Drive, V5P 3T8).
Duties
- Food Preparation & Cooking – Prepare and cook dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Ingredient Management – Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepped for service.
- Kitchen Cleanliness & Hygiene – Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety regulations.
- Consistency & Quality Control – Ensure all dishes meet quality and presentation standards before serving.
- Menu Knowledge & Execution – Understand and execute menu items, including specials and modifications.
- Time Management – Work efficiently to meet service demands, especially during peak hours.
- Collaboration with Kitchen Staff – Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and other kitchen team members.
- Inventory Monitoring – Track ingredient usage and report shortages to prevent delays in service.
- Equipment Maintenance – Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
- Adherence to Health & Safety Regulations – Follow food handling, temperature control, and sanitation guidelines.
- Multi-location work & cross-training – Ability to work between our restaurant locations as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety regulations
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude under pressure
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are advantageous
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to grow within the food industry
- Able to get transport to multiple work locations (Metro Vancouver)
- Vietnamese speaking and knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine is preferred, but we all communicate in English and full training is provided so it is not a barrier to entry!
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
