Sommelier / Fine Dining Server

Sushi Hyun Omakase is looking for a passionate Sommelier / Fine Dining Server to join our team.

This is not a sommelier-only position. The role combines refined guest service with wine and sake knowledge, helping create thoughtful beverage pairings that complement the progression of our omakase experience.

At Sushi Hyun, our approach to hospitality goes beyond serving exceptional food and providing polished service.

Who We Are Looking For

- Someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and connecting with guests
- A warm, positive personality with a natural smile and welcoming presence
- A passion for creating memorable experiences for guests
- Strong interest in wine, sake, and food & beverage pairing
- Confidence in understanding guests’ preferences and recommending beverages thoughtfully
- Strong attention to detail, organization, cleanliness, and professionalism
- A humble, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
- An appreciation for Japanese cuisine, sushi, sake, and Japanese hospitality

Fine dining experience and sommelier or sake certification are considered assets, but are not required.

We also welcome candidates who are currently developing their wine or sake knowledge.



Extensive experience is not necessary if you bring genuine curiosity, passion, and a strong desire to learn and grow.

At Sushi Hyun, wine and sake are not simply beverages served alongside the food. We see them as an important part of the progression and overall omakase experience.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the chef and service team to explore pairings, share ideas, and help develop Sushi Hyun’s Wine & Sake Program.
