Digital Literacy Teacher

Location: Fredericton, Current Brunswick, with travel throughout the Central Valley region

Hours: 25 hours per week
Pay: $20.58–$27.01 per hour, based on qualifications and relevant experience.

Do you enjoy helping someone go from “I’m not good with computers” to “I can do this”? Central Valley Adult Learning Association (CVALA) is looking for a Digital Literacy Teacher who can make technology feel approachable and useful for adult learners.

This is a mobile, in-person role based primarily in the greater Fredericton area. You’ll teach individuals and groups with different goals and levels of experience. The role requires initiative and the ability to manage much of your day-to-day work independently, while offering regular opportunities to work alongside a positive, supportive team.

What you’ll do

- Deliver engaging digital literacy lessons using the WorkingNB curriculum, adapting activities and materials to each learner’s needs.
- Follow up with potential learners, confirm their digital learning needs, and help them register for suitable workshops.
- Help promote the program, build relationships with community and referral partners, recruit learners, and schedule sessions.
- Complete reports, timesheets, progress reports, and learner files.
- Maintain the resources and equipment needed for program delivery.
- Attend team meetings and professional development activities.
- Collaborate with the Regional Team while managing your work independently.

What you’ll bring

- Strong communication, teaching, and digital literacy skills.
- The ability to support adults with diverse needs, experiences,



and learning styles.
- Experience facilitating individual or group learning. Experience teaching digital literacy is an asset.
- A genuine interest in helping people learn, build confidence, and reach their goals, and a desire to make a positive difference in the community.
- A Bachelor of Education or Adult Education Certificate is preferred. Candidates willing to complete the Adult Education Certificate within five years may also be considered.
- The ability to obtain a clean criminal record check.
- Residence in New Brunswick within reasonable driving distance of the communities served, a reliable vehicle, and availability for regular travel throughout the region.
