We are seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Duty Mechanic (Red Seal preferred ) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for mentoring newer, younger mechanics; as well as diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of Semi-trucks ensuring optimal performance and safety.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse makes of semi-trucks from Freightliners, Kenworths, to Peterbilts in a fast-paced environment that values technical proficiency and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty Semi-Trucks.
- Mainly perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, brake adjustments, replace broken handles & mirrors and electrical system checks to prevent breakdowns.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Mentoring newer, younger mechanics within the shop.
- Conduct inspections of industrial equipment to identify issues early and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Operate heavy machinery safely during maintenance procedures or testing phases while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems.
- Maintain and detail service records,



work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- NO engine or transmition replacement skills required.

Requirements

- Valid Red Seal certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with proven experience in the field {Preferred}
- Valid Forklift certification is required
- Extensive experience or background working with heavy machinery brands such as Caterpillar, Peterbilt or similar manufacturers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by skills in electrical troubleshooting, assembly, and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics interpretation, and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience operating heavy equipment or performing repairs on automotive or industrial systems.
