Job Summary

Curaga Healthcare Group is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a clinical opportunity in Northwestern Ontario.

The Registered Dietitian will provide assessment, education, treatment, and ongoing care to clients living with diabetes. Working as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, the successful candidate will support clients in developing the knowledge and skills necessary for effective diabetes self-management.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within an experienced regional team specializing in advanced diabetes care.

Responsibilities

- Assess clients and provide individualized nutritional counselling and diabetes education.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary teaching programs and follow-up plans for diabetes management.
- Develop and deliver workshops related to nutrition and diabetes education.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, diabetes educators, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Act as a nutritional resource for clients, families, healthcare professionals, community partners, and support agencies.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with community and healthcare partners throughout the region.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of program policies, procedures, goals, and operating strategies.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, records, statistics, and nutritional information.




- Maintain evidence-informed clinical practice and participate in research activities where appropriate.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education and professional development.
- Follow all applicable infection prevention and control, PPE, hand hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Nutrition or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship.
- Current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario, or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) designation, or willingness to obtain within one year.
- Membership in the Diabetes Educators Section of the Canadian Diabetes Association is considered an asset.
- Robust communication, counselling, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and healthcare partners across diverse communities.

Pay: $62.00 per hour
