Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Expo / Food Packer to join our kitchen team at Swiss Chalet. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate order assembly, smooth kitchen-to-front-of-house communication, and timely delivery of high-quality meals to our guests. This position requires strong organization skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced workplace, and a commitment to food quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate and expedite food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house to ensure timely service.
- Assemble, package, and verify takeout and delivery orders for accuracy and presentation.
- Ensure all food items meet Swiss Chalet quality, portioning, and freshness standards before leaving the kitchen.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, and delivery drivers to prioritize orders and resolve issues quickly.
- Monitor order flow during peak periods and assist in maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized expo and packing station to promote efficiency and safety.
- Assist with basic prep, stocking,



and restocking supplies as needed.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a restaurant, kitchen, or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering great guest experiences.
