Manufacturing Engineer – Injection Molding

Location: Chatham-Kent, Ontario
Job Type: Full time, On-site
Salary: $65,000–$115,000 CAD, based on experience and skills

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer / Injection Molding Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership across multiple manufacturing facilities.

This role will own injection molding technology, mold design standards, process standards, equipment strategy, capital purchases, and technical governance across the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with plant and engineering teams to drive manufacturing excellence, standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead injection molding technology and process standards across multiple plants.
- Develop and maintain mold design and manufacturing standards.
- Establish equipment and technology strategies.
- Support capital equipment planning, purchasing, installation, and commissioning.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to manufacturing facilities.
- Improve cycle time, quality, scrap, OEE, and overall process capability.
- Support new product launches, APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, and engineering changes.




- Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Qualifications

- Engineering degree or related technical diploma with significant manufacturing experience.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
- Strong expertise in injection molding and mold design.
- Experience with process optimization, automation, equipment selection, and capital projects.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, APQP, PFMEA, and PPAP.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Compensation: The expected salary range is $65,000–$115,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
