We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Sanitation Worker / Forklift Operator to join our client's team. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous forklift and material-handling experience who is willing to learn industrial sanitation and power-washing procedures.

The most significant part of this position is having previous experience operating a forklift and understanding how to safely move, load, and unload materials and trailers. A current forklift licence is not required — candidates with previous forklift experience who are comfortable demonstrating safe operating practices can be trained as needed.

The successful candidate will also be trained on the facility's sanitation procedures, including industrial power washing and cleaning of production equipment.

About the Role

This position combines material handling, shipping/receiving, forklift operation, and industrial sanitation. You will assist with loading and unloading trailers, verifying incoming and outgoing products, moving materials throughout the facility, and completing sanitation duties to prepare equipment and production areas for operations.

Previous shipping experience does not need to be extensive. Candidates who have experience unloading trucks, moving materials, checking paperwork, or working in a warehouse environment may be a good fit.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate a forklift to move, stage, load, and unload materials.
- Load and unload vans and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Move products and materials to the appropriate locations within the facility.
- Verify shipping and receiving paperwork to ensure the correct products are being received or shipped.




- Check quantities, product information, and documentation for accuracy.
- Assist with basic shipping and receiving duties.
- Follow safe material-handling and forklift operating procedures.
- Learn and perform industrial power-washing procedures.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas.
- Follow the daily sanitation schedule and complete assigned cleaning tasks.
- Prepare equipment and production areas for proper start-up.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility.
- Identify and report sanitation concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to the Supervisor or Manager.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Assist with additional warehouse, production, and sanitation duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

The most important qualification is previous forklift experience.

- Previous forklift operating experience is strongly preferred.
- A valid forklift licence is not required; training can be provided.
- Ability to demonstrate safe forklift operating practices.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks, vans, or trailers.
- Basic understanding of shipping and receiving paperwork.




- Ability to verify products and quantities against paperwork.
- Warehouse, material-handling, production, or shipping experience is an asset.
- Previous sanitation or industrial cleaning experience is an asset but not required.
- Willingness to learn industrial power washing and sanitation procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Solid understanding of workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Training Provided

Candidates do not need extensive sanitation or shipping experience to be considered.

We are looking for someone who has a solid background with forklift operation and material handling and is willing to learn the sanitation side of the position. Training will be provided on the proper use of power-washing equipment and the facility's industrial sanitation procedures.
