Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team in a Supervisor position.

The RECE Supervisor will play an important leadership role within our nursery and before-and-after school programs. The successful candidate will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the program, support and guide staff, build positive relationships with families, and ensure that our programs provide safe, engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate experiences for children.

The Supervisor will work collaboratively with the team to ensure that all programming and practices meet Ministry of Education requirements, licensing standards, and Belvoir Co-operative Nursery School’s policies and values.

The days of work may vary, with hours scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Flexibility in scheduling is required, as the Supervisor may be required to work various shifts within these hours.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced RECE who is looking to take on a leadership role within a supportive, collaborative, and dynamic child-care environment.

Reliable transportation is a must, as we are located outside of the City of London limits.





Salary will be established in accordance with the candidate’s education, experience, leadership abilities, and demonstrated qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate programs for children in accordance with the Early Learning Framework and licensing requirements
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating workplace for all children
- Observe, document, and assess children’s development and learning
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with special requirements
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development

Health, Safety & Licensing

- Ensure the program operates in compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Ministry requirements, health and safety standards, and licensing regulations.
- Maintain appropriate supervision of children at all times.
- Ensure required documentation, attendance records, incident reports, and other program records are completed accurately and on time.
- Promote a safe, clean, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.

Qualifications & Requirements





- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) designation in Ontario.
- Previous experience working in a child-care or early learning environment.
- Previous supervisory, leadership, or team-lead experience is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of child development, play-based learning, and inclusive practices.
- Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and Ministry of Education requirements.
- Ability to plan and implement creative, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting and collaborating with a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Current CPR Level C and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start).
- Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (CRV/VS).
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Reliable transportation is required.
