Commercial Painting Estimator – Flexible / Per-Project Four Star Coatings Ltd. is looking for an experienced Commercial Painting Estimator to join our team on a flexible, per-project basis. This is an excellent prospect for an experienced estimator, semi-retired professional, or former painting project manager/supervisor who wants flexible work without a full-time commitment. The Opportunity
We are looking for someone who can complete approximately 2–5 estimates per week, depending on our workload. Responsibilities

- Review architectural drawings, specifications, addenda, and project documents
- Complete detailed commercial painting quantity takeoffs
- Measure walls, ceilings, doors, frames, exterior surfaces, and other paintable areas
- Calculate labour, materials, equipment, and project costs
- Prepare accurate and competitive painting estimates
- Identify scope requirements, exclusions, and potential issues
- Review changes and addenda
- Communicate with our team regarding scope and estimating questions
- Complete estimates accurately and meet bid deadlines

Qualifications





- Proven experience estimating commercial and/or new construction painting projects
- Strong knowledge of commercial painting materials and application methods
- Understanding of labour production rates and project costing
- Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications
- Strong quantity takeoff and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good computer skills
- Experience with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Excel, or similar software is an asset

Flexible Work Arrangement
