We are an independently-owned, busy downtown veterinary clinic, that is committed to providing the utmost care to our patients within a supportive work setting. Blue Cross is looking for an experienced client service representative to join our team. Previous experience at an animal hospital and/or receptionist experience would be considered a valuable asset. This position entails such duties as answering phones and emails, checking in clients, establishing a rapport with clients and animals alike, payments/invoicing, call backs and administrative work.

For those looking for more hours, there may be the possibility of expanding the position to include additional Clinic Assistant shifts. Assistant shifts would include such responsibilities as cleaning all areas of the clinic, preparing tools for surgery, laundry, receiving shipments, cleaning of kennels and litters, re-stocking, assisting techs and doctors with animal restraint and monitoring.

Weekly schedules are regular and fixed, and fall within our operating hours of 8am-6pm Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays 8am-12pm. Compensation is dependent on experience.

Qualifications

- Prior experience in a veterinary setting is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and clients
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Must be reliable, punctual, and eager to learn current skills

Pay: $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
