JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Contract Parcel Delivery Driver to join our logistics team in Victoria, BC. In this role, you will deliver parcels safely and efficiently to various destinations while providing exceptional customer service.

This position is a full-time, fixed 3-month contract position, and the ideal candidate must live in the area or be able to make the commute.

- Number of positions: 1
- Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (30-minute unpaid break)
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Contract start date: ASAP
- Contract end date: January 5, 2027

RESPONSABILITIES

- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including commercial vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload parcels using proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently using GPS and route planning tools to meet delivery deadlines
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks,



and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving parcels within the facility or using forklifts when required
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and inventory records throughout your shift
- Complete deliveries efficiently while following safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle

REQUIREMENTS

- 1 to 3 years of experience in courier, delivery, logistics, or professional driving is an asset
- Experience with companies such as UPS, FedEx, Amazon, or other delivery services is considered an asset but not required
- Valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license; Learner (L) and Novice (N) licenses are not accepted
- Proof of a clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to operate a cargo van safely
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lb. (23 kg)
- Confidence driving in traffic and varying weather conditions
- Ability to enter and exit a vehicle frequently throughout the day
- Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Victoria and the surrounding area
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using a smartphone
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Available to start immediately
