1. Foreperson (Crew Leader)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Foreperson to lead our underground utility crews. You will oversee daily operations, manage site safety, and ensure the accurate installation of water, storm, and sanitary sewer systems according to project blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, mentor, and schedule daily tasks for a crew of pipe layers and laborers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, grade sheets, and construction stakes.
- Coordinate heavy equipment operations and material deliveries.
- Enforce strict OSHA/site safety standards, including trench safety and shoring.
- Maintain daily logs, tracking production rates, soil conditions, and crew hours.

Qualifications:

- 3–10+ years of experience as a heavy civil or underground utility foreperson.
- Deep knowledge of deep excavation, trench boxes, and laser setups.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and safety certifications (OSHA 10/30, Competent Person training).

2. Lead Hand

Job Summary:
We are looking for a working Lead Hand to bridge the gap between our crew and the Foreperson. In this role, you will work hands-on in the trench while helping direct the crew,



ensuring production goals and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work alongside the crew to install water and sewer infrastructure.
- Step in to lead the crew and direct operations when the Foreperson is off-site.
- Assist in setting up lasers, checking grades, and organizing rigging.
- Help train newer laborers and ensure the site remains organized.

Qualifications:

- 3–5+ years of experience in heavy civil underground utilities.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and reliability.
- Ability to read plans and use pipe lasers/levels.

3. Main Pipe Layer

Job Summary:
We are hiring a skilled Pipe Layer to precisely install underground water, sanitary, and storm sewer systems. You will be the primary eyes and hands in the trench, responsible for the integrity and grade of the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lay, align, and position concrete, PVC, ductile iron, and HDPE pipes in trenches.
- Set up and utilize pipe lasers, transit levels, and grade sticks to ensure precise slope.
- Guide the excavator operator during digging and bedding placement.
- Inspect pipe sections for defects and properly seal joints, gaskets, and fittings.
- Work safely inside trench shields and shoring systems.

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of dedicated pipe laying experience in civil infrastructure.
- Proven ability to read and pull grade using a pipe laser.
- Knowledge of rigging, pipe joining methods, and trench safety.

4. Deckperson / Top Person

Job Summary:




We are seeking a vigilant Deckperson (Top Person) to serve as the critical link between the crew in the trench and the ground level. You will manage materials at the top of the excavation, act as a spotter, and ensure the pipe layer has everything needed to work efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

- Signal and spot for excavator operators, ensuring clearance of overhead and underground utilities.
- Prepare pipes, fittings, gaskets, and lubes at the surface and lower them safely into the trench.
- Rig materials and pipe sections properly for crane or excavator lifting.
- Monitor trench walls and surface conditions to ensure the safety of the crew below.

Qualifications:

- 1+ years of experience on an underground utility crew.
- Strong knowledge of hand signals and rigging safety.
- Attentive, safety-minded, and excellent communication skills.

5. Skilled Laborer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a hardworking Skilled Laborer to support our underground utility operations. You will perform vital physical tasks to prepare trenches, handle materials, and assist the pipe layer to keep the project moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

- Hand-dig, shovel, and spade around existing utilities to avoid damage.
- Rake, shovel, and compact bedding material (stone/sand) in the trench.
- Operate hand/power tools, including cut-off saws, jumping jacks, and plate compactors.
- Assist with site cleanup, tool maintenance, and material handling.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in outdoor construction, ideally in civil earthworks or utilities.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently and work in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.

Pay: $30.00-$46.51 per hour
