Snow Removal Sidewalk Crew

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Snow Removal Sidewalk Crew Members to join our winter operations team. This position focuses on keeping sidewalks, entrances, walkways, stairs, and other pedestrian areas safe and accessible throughout winter weather events.

Monthly Retainer

Employees in this position may receive a monthly retainer of $200–$400, depending on experience, availability, reliability, and assigned responsibilities.

The retainer is provided to help ensure crew members remain available and ready to respond throughout the winter season.

End-of-Season Bonus

Employees who successfully complete the full winter season with us may also be eligible for an end-of-season bonus of up to $2,000, based on attendance, reliability, performance, and overall commitment throughout the season.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Operate sidewalk snow removal machines and other small snow-clearing equipment.
- Operate snow blowers safely and efficiently.
- Shovel sidewalks, stairs, entrances, ramps, and other areas that cannot be accessed by machines.
- Apply salt and other approved de-icing materials to sidewalks and pedestrian areas.
- Clear snow and ice to maintain safe access to commercial properties.




- Perform pre-operation inspections of sidewalk machines, snow blowers, and other equipment.
- Assist with loading and handling salt and de-icing products.
- Maintain equipment and report mechanical problems or damage.
- Respond to snow and ice events during early mornings, evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Work efficiently as part of a snow removal crew to ensure properties are completed within required service timelines.
- Follow company safety procedures and site-specific snow removal plans.

Requirements

Applicants must be dependable and able to work outdoors for extended periods in cold, snowy, and icy conditions. Candidates should be physically capable of shoveling snow and handling bags of salt.

Previous experience operating sidewalk machines, snow blowers, or other snow removal equipment is considered an asset.

Winter work is weather-dependent, and employees must be available when snow and ice events occur.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
