About the Role

We're conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing, entrepreneurial automotive group in Atlantic Canada with ambitious multi-location, national growth plans. We're seeking a Head of Pre-Owned Vehicle Operations based in New Brunswick. This is a group-level executive role overseeing used vehicle operations across multiple locations. Retail automotive industry experience (dealership or dealer group) is required for this role.

Reporting directly to ownership, you'll lead all aspects of the pre-owned vehicle business across a multi-location network. This includes inventory acquisition, pricing strategy, merchandising, people leadership, and cross-location logistics. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll be expected to be deeply embedded in the day-to-day, not managing from behind a desk.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day used vehicle operations across multiple locations
- Own inventory acquisition strategy including auction, private sale, and online marketplace sourcing
- Drive inventory turn, pricing strategy, and aging management
- Recruit, coach, and mentor a buying and merchandising team
- Oversee cross-location inventory transfers and merchandising
- Leverage inventory management technology (e.g., vAuto) to optimize sourcing and pricing decisions
- Report directly to ownership on performance and inventory planning

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience actively sourcing pre-owned inventory beyond trade-ins, auction buying, private-sale acquisition,



or wholesale sourcing — not solely managing trade-in intake
- Comfortable owning appraisals and wholesale disposition, not just retail sales
- Strong critical thinker with technology fluency
- Confidence balanced with humility — Be ready to learn the business in and out before driving change
- Multi-location inventory experience is a solid asset
- People leadership experience

Compensation & Benefits

- $120,000+ base salary, $250,000+ OTE
- Company vehicle/demo provided
- Travel expenses covered
- Benefits available immediately
