We are looking for an experienced Boring Mill Machinist with strong CNC and manual machining experience. The ideal candidate will be able to independently read blueprints, set up and operate machines, and program directly at the machine.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and program CNC and manual boring mills independently.
- Prioritize experience with TOS WH105 CNC Boring Mill with Heidenhain TNC 426 controls.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining specifications.
- Load and position large/heavy parts onto the machine table using an overhead crane.
- Align and securely install workholding fixtures and components.
- Select, install, and set up appropriate cutting tools.
- Set and monitor machining speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters.
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring and inspection tools.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Boring Mill Machinist.
- Strong experience with CNC and/or manual boring mills.
- Experience with Heidenhain TNC 426 controls is highly preferred.
- Ability to independently set up and program at the machine.
- Strong blueprint and drawing-reading skills.
- Experience using overhead cranes to safely handle large/heavy components.
- Ability to accurately align workpieces, fixtures, and tooling.
- Strong knowledge of precision measurement and inspection.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
Compensation:
- Pay rate based on experience and qualifications.
