Set Up Labourer - Temporary

About Our Client

Our client is a world-renowned entertainment company, celebrated for its captivating and imaginative productions that tour globally. They are a leader in creating immersive experiences within their iconic temporary structures. The successful candidates will be integral to the setup of the main performance venue and its surrounding infrastructure.

What You Will Be Doing, as a Set Up Labourer:

- Assist with the installation and assembly of the Big Top tent and interior structures, including bleacher systems.
- Load and unload materials and move materials to work areas.
- Clean and prepare sites, remove debris and discarded material.
- Operate hand and power tools of all types.
- Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties.
- Perform setup and cleanup tasks at the job site.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the team by adhering to safe work practices and procedures.
- Other general labor and construction duties as required.

What You Should Have, as a Set Up Labourer:

- Previous general labor or construction experience is an asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment.
- Safety-conscious mindset and ability to follow regulations and procedures.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Full PPE Required

In Return, You Will Receive:

- $19.00 per hour
- Paid weekly. Payments are issued every Friday for the previous week worked via EFT




- 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends

The Shift You Will be Working is:

- October 27th to November 3rd
- Various 4 to 10 hour shifts available.

Job Type: Part time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Surrey, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
