Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including vans, trucks, and heavy equipment such as forklifts when necessary, to deliver freight and packages across designated routes.
- Load, unload, and secure freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring all items are handled with care and stored securely during transit.
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures or proof of delivery, and update delivery logs accurately to maintain accurate records.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; perform basic automotive repairs or notify maintenance for issues.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS or maps to optimize delivery routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.




- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior; adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

- Prior experience in commercial driving or courier services is preferred but not mandatory; we value motivated individuals eager to learn.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues on the go.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type; a clean driving record is essential.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while managing multiple deliveries efficiently.
