Line Cook and Kitchen Supervisor
Lettuce Love Café – Hamilton
Lettuce Love Café is hiring experienced Line Cooks and a Kitchen Supervisor to join our Hamilton team. We are looking for reliable, organized individuals who take pride in preparing fresh, high-quality food and working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items accurately and consistently according to recipes, portions and presentation standards.
- Complete daily food preparation and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, storage and allergen procedures.
- Monitor product quality, freshness and waste.
- Support fast and efficient service during busy periods.
- Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Receive and properly store food deliveries.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
Kitchen Supervisor Responsibilities
In addition to the responsibilities above, the Kitchen Supervisor will:
- Lead daily kitchen operations and organize the team during service.
- Train, coach and support kitchen employees.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Coordinate prep levels and production based on expected sales.
- Manage kitchen ordering, including produce and other food supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels, food costs and waste.
- Receive deliveries, verify product quality and quantities, and ensure proper storage and rotation.
- Ensure food-safety, sanitation and cleaning standards are consistently followed.
- Identify operational issues and communicate effectively with management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or quick-paced food-service environment.
- Strong food-preparation, organization and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and proper food-handling practices.
- Ability to remain dependable and detail-oriented during busy service periods.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Food Handler Certification is preferred.
- Previous kitchen leadership or supervisory experience is required for the Kitchen Supervisor position.
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
