ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist, also known as a Plan Checker, to support the quality and accuracy of survey plans produced by our CAD team.

We're currently seeking for QA Specialists to support our Alberta or Manitoba operations. Experience with survey plan requirements and regulatory frameworks in those jurisdictions is considered an asset.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Review survey plans for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Verify calculations, evidence assessments, and supporting documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Identify errors, omissions, and inconsistencies and work with project teams to resolve them.
- Collaborate with CAD Technicians, Field Crews, and Project Managers throughout the plan review process.




- Ensure plans meet applicable Land Titles registration and industry requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of quality standards, processes, and checklists.
- Stay current with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Diploma in Geomatics, Design and Drafting Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience preparing, reviewing, or interpreting survey plans and related documentation.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
- Experience working with survey data and coordinate calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.
