Position Summary

The Flat Roofing Foreman leads commercial flat roofing crews through safe, productive, high-quality installation, repair, and replacement work. This role oversees daily job site operations, coordinates with project managers, ensures work meets specifications and safety standards, and mentors crew members.

- Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and lead commercial flat roofing crews.

- Plan daily work activities to meet project schedules.

- Install, repair, and replace TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, and Built-Up roofing systems.

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

- Inspect work to ensure company and manufacturer standards are met.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

- Train and mentor crew members in roofing techniques and safe work practices.

- Communicate progress, material needs, and challenges to the project manager.

- Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and job site logistics.

- Maintain a clean, organized, professional job site.

- Complete daily reports, timesheets, and required documentation.

- Qualifications

- 2+ years leading commercial flat roofing crews; 5+ years flat roofing experience preferred.





- Proven experience installing and repairing commercial flat roofing systems.

- Valid driver’s license.

- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.

- Strong knowledge of roofing systems & materials, installation methods, and manufacturer specifications.

- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and safe roofing practices.

- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

- Physical Requirements

- Lift up to 50 lbs. (23 kg) regularly.

- Work at heights and in varied weather conditions.

- Climb ladders, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

- Safely operate roofing tools and equipment.
