A career as an Account Manager within the Real Estate Development Unit (RDU) means playing a key role in business development, client relationship management, and influential leadership within your team. You will serve as a trusted point of reference, contributing to market development while supporting the team in the execution of real estate financing transactions. You will work closely with major real estate clients, including developers and investors, on their construction and long-term financing projects, while directly contributing to the growth and profitability of the portfolio.
This position is based in Laval and reports to the Associate Vice-President, Real Estate Development Unit.
Your Role
- Develop and grow a portfolio of commercial and multi-residential real estate clients through proactive business development, market outreach, and relationship management.
- Build and strengthen the Bank's presence in the Laval market by identifying opportunities, expanding your network, and creating long-term partnerships with developers, investors, and industry stakeholders.
- Structure, negotiate, and deliver tailored financing solutions that support clients' growth objectives while balancing sound risk management practices.
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing strategic financial guidance and leading complex real estate financing transactions from origination through execution.
- Contribute to the success of the team by driving portfolio profitability, supporting credit decision-making, and sharing expertise with colleagues and internal partners.
Your Team The Real Estate Development Unit is part of the Business Banking and Private Banking 1859 sector.
Its mission is to support leading players in the real estate industry with construction projects and long-term investments in high-quality assets. You will join a collaborative team where autonomy, entrepreneurship, and local market development are at the heart of our priorities. You will play an active role in strengthening the Bank's presence in a highly competitive market.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial banking or real estate financing.
- Strong experience in business development and client relationship management.
- Proven expertise in structuring and negotiating complex credit transactions.
- Solid understanding of the commercial real estate sector, including construction financing, income-producing properties, and investment assets.
- Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, credit assessment, and risk management.
- Influential leadership skills with the ability to guide, collaborate with, and support team members.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
