Select People Solutions is working with our client to find an experienced Assistant General Manager to join their leadership team. This is a key operational leadership position for a hands-on professional who can bring structure, accountability, and consistency to a growing organization.Working closely with the General Manager, the successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, lead departmental managers and their teams, and help ensure people, processes, and resources are aligned with broader business objectives. - Oversee day-to-day business operations, ensuring departments are aligned on priorities, schedules, resources, and performance expectations• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and accountability to 6 direct reports, with oversight of approximately 20 additional team members across multiple functional areas• Partner with the General Manager to translate company goals into operational plans, measurable objectives, and clear expectations for department leaders• Monitor operational performance, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement practical improvements to processes, communication, workflow, and resource utilization• Support department leaders with staffing,



performance management, problem-solving, workload planning, and cross-functional coordination while building accountability at all levels• Maintain visibility across the organization, proactively addressing operational challenges and ensuring quality, customer service, productivity, safety, and business priorities remain on trackRequired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive leadership or operational management experience within manufacturing, construction, building materials, engineered products, or a related environment• Proven experience leading managers or supervisors and providing oversight to larger, multi-functional teams• Strong understanding of business operations, including workflow planning, staffing, productivity, performance management, and continuous improvement• Demonstrated ability to establish expectations, hold leaders accountable, and develop capable, independent teams• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to balance immediate operational needs with longer-term business objectives• Familiarity with production planning, design, estimating, sales, logistics, or other interconnected operational functions• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills with the confidence to work effectively across all levels of an organization• Strong financial and business acumen, including experience working with budgets, margins, labour costs, and operational performanceBonus Points For:
