We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Truck Body Shop Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the repair, maintenance, and restoration of truck bodies, including commercial trucks, trailers, and related equipment. This position involves hands-on work such as removing and installing body components, repairing damaged panels, preparing surfaces, and assisting with welding, painting, and finishing work.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working with hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect truck bodies and identify damaged or worn components.
- Remove damaged body panels, bumpers, doors, lights, and other components.
- Repair, replace, and install truck body parts and components.
- Perform basic metalwork, grinding, sanding, drilling, and cutting.




- Assist with welding and fabrication as required.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
- Assist painters and body technicians with preparation and finishing work.
- Install and align body panels, doors, hardware, and other equipment.
- Use hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and shop equipment safely.
- Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Body Shop Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

- Previous experience in a truck, automotive, collision, or body shop environment is an asset.
- Experience with truck or trailer body repair is preferred.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of metal fabrication, sanding, grinding, and body repair.
- Welding experience is an asset.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and ability to perform manual work.
- Ability to lift and move materials and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.
