Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid — 3 days onsite, Toronto, Ontario

Contract: October 1, 2026 – February 18, 2028

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

$41.25/hr + 4% vacation pay.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst II to join the Trade Agreement Services team within our client's Global Operations and Business Services.

This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting the management, analysis, and operationalization of legal agreement data related to capital markets trading products, including derivatives, foreign exchange, fixed income, repo/securities lending, prime brokerage, and related credit support documentation.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across Sales & Trading, Technology, Risk, Global Counterparty Credit, Enterprise Distribution, and other business groups.

What you’ll do

- Manage the accurate and timely capture of legal terms and documentation between the Bank and its counterparties
- Review legal agreements and codify relevant terms in the appropriate systems
- Analyze and manage exceptions related to QFC Recordkeeping regulations and trade-related queries
- Investigate and resolve data inquiries from upstream and downstream business partners
- Maintain and update tables recording netting status and product coverage for applicable legal agreements
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the Bank and Securities
- Support global trading desks in operationalizing legal agreement data within tight deadlines
- Collaborate with Technology partners to improve Trade Agreement data capture and netting-table processes
- Validate operational readiness activities and cutover plans for projects approaching go-live
- Provide prompt and accurate responses to inquiries, escalating issues when appropriate




- Ensure data is entered accurately to mitigate reputational, financial, regulatory, and operational risk
- Meet service-level agreements and customer service standards
- Help prioritize team workflows and manage the team mailbox
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices
- Maintain procedural documentation and business process materials
- Produce management reports and maintain key performance metrics
- Support internal audit requests and other control activities
- Assist with gathering and analyzing data as required

What we’re looking for
- At least 3 years of relevant business analysis, data management, or operations experience
- Post-secondary education
- Experience working with data management processes and controls
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong technical proficiency
- Understanding of trading businesses, operating environments, business processes, and transaction lifecycles
- Ability to manage detailed data requirements and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to error-free processing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Solid interpersonal, influencing, conflict-management, and relationship-building skills

Nice-to-have experience
- Banking or capital markets experience
- Knowledge of trade agreements, including:
- ISDA
- CSA
- MFSTA
- GMRA
- Experience working with legal agreement data or trade exception management
- Experience with operational readiness, controls, or regulatory-related processes
