CASUAL DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL The Relief Support provides call-in or back-fill support to people supported. They assist with activities of daily living and work within the protocols of the location. They work with other employees on shift to provide supports and services to people. Working within Karis Disability Services Service Principles, the Relief Support considers each person’s intrinsic value.

Requirements

- DSW or CYS Diploma
- Current/Valid G Driver's License
- Computer Skills: Windows, Word, Excel, Email, etc.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check

Experience Required

- Behavior supports
- Supported Independent Living (SIL) supports
- Supports to people who have a dual diagnosis
- Supports to people who don't use words to communicate




- Supports to people who experience Autism
- Supports to people who experience FASD

- Preferred

- 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
- Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
