We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable support staff to join our outdoor-based child care team.

Our program is rooted in outdoor learning, nature exploration, play, and meaningful relationships. We spend much of our day outside, giving children opportunities to explore, move, create, take appropriate risks, and develop confidence through hands-on experiences.

About the Role

As a Support Staff member, you will work alongside our educators to help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children. You will assist with daily routines, outdoor activities, transitions, meals, and general program needs while building positive relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities include:

- Supporting educators with the daily care and supervision of children
- Participating enthusiastically in outdoor play and nature-based activities in a variety of weather conditions
- Helping children with routines such as dressing, meals, toileting, and transitions
- Supporting a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
- Assisting with set-up, clean-up, and organization of indoor and outdoor spaces
- Encouraging children's independence, curiosity, creativity, and confidence
- Following health, safety, and center policies and procedures
- Communicating respectfully and professionally with children, families, and team members




- Working collaboratively with educators to support the needs of individual children

- Responsible, adaptable, and able to work in a busy environment
- Committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment

Early childhood education experience or training is an asset, but we welcome applicants who are enthusiastic about working with children and eager to learn.

Requirements

- Previous experience working with children is an asset
- Current First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
- Clear criminal record/vulnerable sector check as required
- Ability to meet applicable child care licensing requirements
- Ability to work outdoors year-round
