The Opportunity McElhanney is seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team in Penticton, BC. What You’ll Do

Assist in the production of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates and tender documents for municipal infrastructure engineering projects.

Take projects from preliminary concepts and sketches into engineering designs, plans, and project documentation requirements, using primarily Civil 3D, as well as other technical software as needed.

Assist with preparing tender documents and cost estimates.

Perform construction inspections, data collection, and other field tasks as required.

Coordinate with other team members to ensure schedules,



budgets and quality control standards are achieved.

Support communication and coordination with contractors, clients, and internal project team members as required.

What You’ll Bring

Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, completed or expected by Spring/Summer 2027.

0-1 year of relevant experience, including internship, summer or academic project experience.

Exposure to Civil 3D or other design software through coursework, co-op, or previous experience is considered an asset.

Registration as an AcST, GradTech, or another technical accreditation is an asset.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work independently with guidance, while contributing to a collaborative and close-knit team environment.

Valid driver's license is an asset.

What Can We Offer You? The wage range for this position is $25-$35 hour. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual's education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications.
