About the work:

Alinea International is recruiting a qualified Communications Specialist based in Canada to work on corporate communications for Alinea International, as well as managing and executing communications plans for a number of international development projects.

The Role

Corporate Communications

- Support the corporate communications teams on creating and executing materials including, but not limited to; social media posts, audio and video content, infographics, and blogs
- Support the planning and execution of communications related events, such as webinars,



workshops and panel discussions
- Write and develop media materials which can include press releases, media advisories, public service announcements, and blog posts

Project Communications

- Ensure that projects adhere to Alinea's photography and brand guidelines as outlined by corporate HQ in Canada
- Support activities aimed at increasing project awareness and visibility
- Support the team in general communications activities, such as events organized by the project
- Collect, draft and publish articles and publications related to project activities on Alinea social media (LinkedIn, Facebook).
- Write and edit content for project websites, such as testimonials and updates on the in-country initiatives
- Support the team in the collection and management of communications data for the project's reporting and closing activities.
- Train and mentor in-country communications staff to ensure that they maintain Alinea's brand and reputation
- All other related project tasks

Required Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field (i.e. Bachelor or equivalent);
- Minimum of three years of working experience in communications
- Written and spoken mastery of both English and French and language application in a communications context

Good to have Qualifications:

- Proficiency in creating digital graphics for websites and social media
- Experience using WordPress
- Experience with digital photo and video editing
- Knowledge of international political and social issues
