We are looking for well-experienced Cooks for “McEwan Enterprises Inc.” You will be working at 27 Bruce St S, Thornbury ON N0H 2PO , Canada.

Job Duties:

- Prepare, season, and cook a variety of authentic Italian dishes, including handcrafted pastas, wood-fired pizzas, slow-roasted meats, seafood, and other menu items according to Fabbrica Thornbury's recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, portioning, marinating, and assembling food items to ensure productive kitchen operations during lunch, dinner, and special events.
- Operate and monitor wood-fired pizza ovens, grills, and other commercial kitchen equipment to achieve proper cooking temperatures, consistency, and presentation.
- Maintain high standards of food quality by monitoring cooking times, seasoning, portion sizes, and plating to ensure every dish meets the restaurant's culinary and presentation expectations.
- Inspect food supplies for freshness and quality, properly label and store ingredients,



and rotate inventory using FIFO principles to minimize waste and maintain food safety.
- Coordinate with chefs and front-of-house staff to prioritize orders, accommodate dietary restrictions or guest requests, and ensure timely service during peak dining periods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station by following food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures in accordance with company policies and public health regulations.
- Assist with daily kitchen preparation, stock replenishment, and inventory control while supporting menu consistency and contributing to smooth kitchen operations during regular service and catered or private events.

Prerequisites:

- Education: Secondary (High) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the food industry
- 30 to 40 Hours per week
- Starting Date: As soon as possible
- Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
