Role Description This Customer Site Warehouse Support role is a part-time (up to 30 hours per week), on-site, operations role that involves physical labour. It is based in our warehouse in Burnaby, BC, and requires driving a company pickup truck or van to our customer's locations that are spread across the Greater Vancouver Area. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for restocking Fastenal's FastVend vending machines.

There is some in-person interface with customer contacts, such that the successful candidate will need to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.



Other daily responsibilities include warehouse operations, including communicating with other team members regarding stock levels and other issues. The role involves troubleshooting basic and advanced hardware issues with Fastenal's VMI technologies, maintaining up-to-date records in company systems, and promoting customer satisfaction by being polite and cordial.

Qualifications

- Active Class 5 driver's license with clean driving record.
- Able and willing to perform physical work.
- Able and willing to lift up to 50lbs for a short distance.
- Strong customer-facing abilities, including Customer Support and a focus on Customer Satisfaction.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly, build relationships, and collaborate with diverse teams in a business operations environment.
- Analytical Skills to assess customer issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
- Attention to detail
- Accuracy in data entry
- Positive sense of direction; ability to use GPS apps such as Google Map and follow instructions.
- Previous business operations experience, such as customer service, retail, or industrial supply, is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, supply chain management, or a related field is beneficial.
