Your role on the team:

- Supports staff providing customs guidance on compliance for customer filings on front line
- Provides guidance to client inquiries, referring to trade services as required
- Reviews internal processes, optimize where possible and implements new procedures
- Assists teams in resolving Customs and carrier issues
- Maintains positive customer relationships and may be main key customer contact
- Prepares and monitors various Customs compliance and broker management reports
- Trains, coaches, and supervises team members
- Support team members in achieving their department KPI goals including timely releases
- May participate in liaising with customs colleagues on technical matters regarding border initiatives and legislation
- Supports any AP/AR discrepancies and addresses accounting issues
- As required and assigned
- Supports GEODIS’ programs for Safety, Health, Workplace, Quality, Ethics, Compliance, CSR and Sustainability

What you need:

- Minimum 2 years relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Customs Certified Specialist designation
- Customs Trade Compliance Specialist designation preferred
- Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals




- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Dynamic leadership skills
