The mission

Reporting to the Assistant Chief Pilot, you will captain Dash 8 flights that carry thousands of passengers annually—prioritizing safety, passenger comfort, and on-time performance—while connecting remote Northern and First Nations communities with essential air service.

Where you'll fly

Operate scheduled passenger and freight services across Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario, 24/7 North American charter, and medical evacuation missions from multiple network bases. Expect flying in diverse weather and to remote airfields that demand precision and professionalism.

What you'll do

- Command Dash 8 flights in strict accordance with SOPs, Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), the Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual.
- Review weather and all applicable NOTAMs; determine fuel and oil requirements.
- Calculate weight and balance; review, amend, and accept the Operational Flight Plan (Type B, CAR 705 operation).
- Complete thorough pre-flight inspections before every departure.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo/freight as required.
- Conduct flight watch jointly with the Flight Dispatcher (Type B 705 operation).
- Complete all post-flight duties, including notifying and confirming aircraft whereabouts when away from base, and recording flight times and defects.
- Maintain Transport Canada qualification standards and perform additional duties as assigned.

What you bring

- Licences & medical: Valid ATPL (ICAO/Transport Canada) required; Category 1 Medical; current Group 1 Instrument Rating.
- Experience: 500+ hours on the DHC-8 preferred; prior airline experience an asset.
- Clearances:



Ability to obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and authorizations.
- Communication: Fluency in English with strong verbal and listening comprehension.
- Cultural competency: Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset; a high level of respect and regard for First Nations communities is essential.

- Working conditions: Physically able to perform all duties; ability to travel by aircraft and other means; work indoors and outdoors in all weather; lift and carry up to 50 lbs; available for a flexible schedule with extended periods of travel.
