Position
Just For Laughs VANCOUVER is looking for a creative, organized, and comedy-obsessed Digital Marketing & Content Specialist to help bring the festival to life online. You'll play a key role in planning, creating, and executing content across our digital channels while helping grow our community and drive ticket sales through engaging social media, email marketing, and paid campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Campaigns
- Execute social media and email marketing strategies that promote the festival, artists, and year-round programming, and support organic and paid social campaigns that drive ticket sales and increase brand awareness.
- Assist with the creation, maintenance, and optimization of Meta advertising campaigns, including selecting creative, updating copy, adjusting budgets, and monitoring performance.
- Monitor social media, email, and campaign performance, assist with reporting, and recommend optimizations based on results.
Content Creation
- Create engaging static, video, graphic, and written content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms that aligns with the Just For Laughs VANCOUVER brand.
- Write compelling copy for social media, newsletters, website updates, and paid advertising campaigns.
- Create and distribute weekly newsletters and additional announcement emails to engage and grow our audience.
- Help develop and maintain the festival's comedic voice across all digital channels.
- Provide live event coverage during the festival through photos, videos,
Stories, and real-time content.
Scheduling & Community
- Manage the social media content calendar, and schedule, update, and maintain content across all channels, ensuring posts are accurate, timely, and aligned with campaign priorities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure announcements, campaigns, and promotions are launched on schedule.
- Manage community engagement by responding to comments and direct messages, resharing audience content, and actively participating in online comedy conversations.
Assets & Accuracy
- Select, organize, and maintain a centralized digital asset library, including show artwork, graphics, artist headshots, bios, artist videos, templates, photography, videography, and promotional and brand materials, so current, approved materials are easily accessible to the team.
- Distribute creative assets to internal team leads and provide support in distributing materials to external stakeholders, as requested.
- Assist with quality assurance and content checks across websites and digital platforms, ensuring artist, show, venue, and partner information, assets, and promotional materials are accurate and up to date.
- Review artist, venue, and partner websites to ensure information is brand-aligned and that festival assets are being used correctly.
- Assist with digital file management and post-festival archiving of marketing and content assets.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional social media or digital marketing experience (entertainment or live events preferred).
- Robust understanding of social media platforms, trends, analytics, and best practices, with basic analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience creating engaging photo, video, and written content, with excellent copywriting skills.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp or similar).
- Experience managing or assisting with paid Meta campaigns.
- Excellent organizational and digital file management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong multitasking abilities and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for comedy, entertainment, and live events.
Competencies
- Proficiency with Canva, CapCut, Google Workspace, and Mailchimp.
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager.
- Familiarity with Asana for project and task management.
- Experience with Google Ads is considered an asset.

Compensation
- $27.50–$32.50 per hour, based on experience
- Four-month contract (projected contract dates: November 2, 2026 to March 5, 2027)
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Two weeks off for Winter Holiday (December 21, 2026 – January 1, 2027)
Hours may vary depending on campaign and festival needs. Some periods, such as festival launches, will be especially busy, while others (such as around the holidays) will be quieter. Overall hours will balance out across the contract.
Full availability is required during the festival, including load-in, load-out, and on-site festival dates (festival show dates February 18–27, 2027).
Opportunities for ongoing work and an annual recurring contract are available for the right fit.
