Liteline Corporation is a privately held Canadian lighting manufacturer with more than 160 employees across multiple facilities in the Greater Toronto Area. We are adding a Director of Information Technology to our leadership team — a senior role with full ownership of the IT function and a direct hand in how this business operates and grows.

The scope is deliberately broad. Liteline is investing in artificial intelligence, automation, data infrastructure and connected business systems across the organization, and the Director of Information Technology will lead that work from the front.

This is an operating role as much as a technical one. The person in this position will work closely with leadership and with departments across the business, including Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Product Development, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Distribution.

IT Strategy and Leadership

- Own and develop Liteline's IT strategy and long-term technology roadmap.
- Partner directly with senior leadership to set technology priorities and identify risks and investment opportunities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and determine where they create real operational or commercial value.
- Maintain and evolve the standards, policies and governance practices a growing organization requires.
- Lead technology planning across multiple facilities and business functions.
- Own IT budgets, capital planning, licensing, vendor spend and major technology investments.
- Lead the internal IT team and the external partners who support IT and set the service standards the business is held to.

AI, Automation and Digital Transformation

- Lead Liteline's adoption of artificial intelligence, automation and next-generation business technologies.
- Find the highest-value applications for automation across the business and build the case for them.
- Develop AI and automation solutions that lift productivity, sharpen decision-making and strengthen the customer experience.
- Build the infrastructure and governance required to scale AI responsibly across the organization.
- Work directly with business leaders to move successful initiatives from experimentation into production.
- Embed data and automation into everyday business operations.

Business Systems and Data

- Own the architecture and ongoing development of Liteline's core business systems.
- Oversee ERP, databases, reporting systems, integrations and other enterprise applications.
- Own the platforms supporting our customer-facing teams, including order management, pricing and product information.




- Own system integration and the flow of information between departments and facilities.
- Lead Liteline's data strategy, covering structure, accessibility, security, integration, reporting and business intelligence.
- Partner with functions across the business on system capability, visibility and usability.
- Keep technology platforms scalable and aligned to where the business is heading.

Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and Business Continuity

- Own Liteline's cybersecurity strategy, policies, controls and risk-management framework.
- Maintain a strong security posture across endpoints, servers, networks, cloud services, applications and user access.
- Oversee infrastructure including servers, networking, storage, virtualization, cloud environments and telecommunications.
- Maintain tested backup, disaster-recovery and business-continuity capability.
- Maintain the monitoring, patching and access-control practices that keep the environment defensible.
- Manage external technology and cybersecurity partners.
- Keep infrastructure stable, secure, scalable and resilient.

Technology Operations

- Maintain high availability and reliability across critical systems.
- Own the service standards, escalation paths and accountability for technology issues.
- Deliver a technology experience that makes it easy for more than 160 employees to do their best work.
- Manage relationships with key technology vendors, service providers and consultants.
- Keep Liteline's platforms and commercial arrangements current, and bring forward stronger options as the market moves.
- Deliver projects on scope, on schedule and with the documentation to support them.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced technology leader who operates comfortably at both the strategic and the technical level.

The successful candidate will understand enterprise infrastructure, business applications, cybersecurity, data and emerging technologies, and will also understand that technology exists to serve the business. You should be able to step onto the floor, understand how the work is genuinely performed, and design practical solutions that people adopt and keep using.





Strong candidates will bring

- Significant experience leading information technology in a complex business environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, servers, cloud technologies and enterprise systems.
- Experience with cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk management and business continuity.
- A strong grasp of databases, systems integration, data architecture and business intelligence.
- Experience with ERP and other enterprise business applications.
- Practical understanding of artificial intelligence, automation and modern development technologies.
- A record of leading major technology projects from strategy through implementation.
- Strong vendor-management and commercial-negotiation skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with senior executives as well as operational and technical stakeholders.
- Sound business judgment and the ability to prioritize technology initiatives by business impact.

LOCATION AND WORKING ARRANGEMENT

This position is based at Liteline's Richmond Hill head office and is on-site five days per week, with regular presence at our distribution facilities.

The successful candidate should expect to be highly engaged with the business and to spend real time understanding how departments and facilities actually operate.
