Role Description This is a full-time Dispatcher/Tracking role in a hybrid work arrangement, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Dispatcher will coordinate daily freight movements between the USA and Canada, assigning loads to drivers, monitoring routes, and updating schedules as needed. The role includes tracking shipments in real time, proactively communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delays or issues.

The Dispatcher will maintain accurate records in transportation management systems, verify documentation for cross-border compliance, and support fleet utilization planning.



Regular responsibilities also involve responding to inquiries, escalating operational challenges when necessary, and contributing to continuous improvement of dispatch and tracking processes.

Qualifications

- Robust dispatching and logistics coordination skills, including route planning, load assignment, and real-time tracking.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems, GPS tracking tools, and general computer skills (e.g., MS Office, email, spreadsheets).
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
- Organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in documentation, record-keeping, and scheduling.
- Knowledge of cross-border transportation processes, customs documentation, and regulatory requirements between Canada and the USA (or willingness to learn).
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under time pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both on-site and remotely, demonstrating reliability, accountability, and self-motivation.
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation operations is an asset; post-secondary education in logistics, business, or a related field is beneficial.
