Drywall Installer / Framer – Commercial Construction

Location: Mississauga, ON

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Pay: $25–$30/hour, based on experience

We are hiring an experienced Drywall Installer / Framer to join our commercial construction team in Mississauga.

We are looking for candidates with hands‑on experience in commercial drywall installation, metal framing, steel stud framing, drywall hanging, and commercial construction. Experience in high‑rise construction, shaft wall systems, fire‑rated assemblies, and drywall finishing is an asset.

Responsibilities

- Install metal studs, steel studs, tracks, and framing for commercial walls and ceilings

- Perform metal framing and drywall installation on commercial construction projects

- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall accurately

- Hang drywall on walls and ceilings

- Frame walls, ceilings, bulkheads, partitions, and other drywall assemblies

- Install drywall in accordance with project drawings and specifications

- Work with fire‑rated drywall and wall assemblies

- Assist with shaft wall systems, including framing and shaft panels

- Read and interpret basic blueprints, shop drawings, layouts, and specifications

- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

- Coordinate with supervisors and other construction trades

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area





- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship

- Follow all applicable construction safety requirements and site procedures

Requirements

- Previous experience in commercial drywall, drywall installation, framing, or steel stud framing

- Hands‑on experience with metal framing / steel stud framing

- Experience hanging drywall on commercial projects

- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install drywall and framing materials

- Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings and layouts

- Comfortable working on active construction sites and at heights

- Ability to lift and handle drywall and other construction materials

- Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious

- Robust attention to detail and quality workmanship

Experience That Is an Asset

- Commercial high‑rise construction experience

- Experience as a Drywall Installer, Drywall Hanger, Drywall Framer, Metal Framer, or Steel Stud Framer

- Experience with shaft walls and fire‑rated wall systems

- Experience with mudding, taping, and sanding

- Experience with commercial drywall finishing

- Working at Heights certification

- WHMIS or other relevant construction safety training

- Experience working in fast‑paced commercial construction environments
