Role Description The Electrician at Horizon High Voltage Services Inc. is a full-time, on-site role based in Ingersoll, ON. This position involves performing installation, maintenance, and repair of high voltage and power distribution systems, including breakers, substations, and related electrical components. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, conducting testing and commissioning procedures, and completing routine inspections to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.

The Electrician will follow company and regulatory safety standards,



maintain accurate documentation of work performed, collaborate with other technicians and engineers, and support field service operations at client sites.

Qualifications

- Robust foundational knowledge of electricity and practical electrical work skills.
- Experience with maintenance & repair of electrical systems, including high voltage and power distribution equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults, diagnosing issues, and implementing effective solutions.
- Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles as they relate to installations, testing, and commissioning.
- Valid electrician license or certification (Journeyperson or equivalent), in good standing.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices, including adherence to lockout/tagout procedures and relevant codes and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in field environments, including climbing, lifting, and using power tools and test equipment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
